How we select the Wealth Shortlist
How we select the Wealth Shortlist
Building the Wealth Shortlist isn’t a one-off process. The research team constantly monitor the funds on the list using a strict selection process.
Funds are only added to, or removed from, the shortlist after extensive research, debate and a team vote.
How have our fund selections performed?
How have our fund selections performed?
We started showcasing what we felt were the best funds in each of the main sectors in 2003.
The majority of our analysts’ fund choices have beaten their sector average and benchmarks. Not every fund has, it’s impossible to get every decision right. Past performance isn’t a guide to the future.
The fund research team
The fund research team
Our research team has decades of experience and spends thousands of hours each year crunching the numbers.
But when looking at a fund’s performance potential, data can only tell half the story. They also dig deep into funds’ processes and their management teams with the goal of unearthing what’s really driving performance.
Looking at charges differently
Looking at charges differently
Fund charges can eat away at performance, so it’s important to weigh-up performance potential against the cost of investing in a particular fund.
To make it easier for you, the Wealth Shortlist now ranks a fund’s charges against similar funds in its IA sector.
