With more than two decades working in content, communication and journalism, Maike is well-versed in talking to self-directed investors about markets and money, and an industry voice on the importance of encouraging more women to invest.
Nathan Long, Senior Analyst, Hargreaves Lansdown
Nathan is a research analyst working on pensions, savings, investments and wider public affairs. He is the architect of HL’s Savings & Resilience Barometer and leads the work on using behavioural science to improve client decision making. He’s been instrumental in developing analysis of engagement among workplace pension members. He joined Hargreaves Lansdown in 2003 and has worked in several areas of the business including as a financial adviser to individuals, and as a pension and benefits consultant to employers across the UK.
Sarah Wallace, Director, Just Finance Foundation
Sarah is the Director of the Just Finance Foundation, with overall responsibility for all aspects of the national charity’s operations. JFF works directly with schools, families and communities to give every child an equal baseline understanding of money. This provides the essential foundation children need to become adults with the knowledge, skills and values to manage money wisely.
Sarah is also the current Chair of the Youth Financial Capability Group, bringing together charities who have a significant focus on developing the financial capability of young people within the UK.
James Corke, Head of Workplace Financial Wellbeing, Hargreaves Lansdown
James brings 20 years of expertise in financial services and is a proud father to two daughters, aged 13 and 10. Since joining HL in 2005, he has held multiple client-focused roles centred around communication and engagement. He has a background in delivering financial education at workplaces across the country, and on occasion, this has extended to providing financial workshops at schools in the local community. In his current role, James manages the Workplace Financial Wellbeing Team, supporting members in navigating their pension savings and wider financial saving goals.
