(Sharecast News) - Concurrent Technologies announced the launch of its new compute-intensive plug-in card (PIC) on Monday - the TR MDx/6sd-RCR.

The AIM-traded firm said the new product would address increasing customer demand with enhanced features such as a wider operating temperature range, reduced weight, advanced networking capabilities, and secure on-board storage.

It said the features made the TR MDx/6sd-RCR an ideal choice for size, weight, cost, and power-constrained ground and airborne applications.

The company reported a significant pipeline of preorders, bolstered by its largest-ever contract win, adding that it expected to ship fully-qualified products within the year to meet growing demand.

"We're excited to introduce our latest product. By optimising for size, weight, power, and cost, we're addressing a crucial demand in the industry, allowing us to offer a product that is both innovative and highly efficient," said chief executive officer Miles Adcock.

"The strong pipeline of preorders underscores the industry's confidence in our capabilities and highlights our commitment to excellence."

At 1141 BST, shares in Concurrent Technologies were down 1.13% at 118.15p.
