(Sharecast News) - Petards Group announced on Tuesday that its subsidiary QRO Solutions has secured a contract valued at over £0.6m for the supply and installation of automatic number plate recognition (ANPR) systems to an existing UK police force customer.
The AIM-traded firm said the contract included an option for the customer to increase the total value to £0.8m.
Under the agreement, QRO would supply its 'NASBox' roadside ANPR systems, which would replace the customer's current technology previously provided by a competitor.
Deliveries were set to start in the last quarter of the year, with £0.4m expected to be delivered within the first year and the remaining £0.2m by the end of the second year.
The customer also had the option to increase the order by an additional £0.2m to acquire more ANPR equipment, which could be delivered over the next three years.
"We are delighted at QRO's success in securing this significant contract and that one of the UK's largest police forces has again selected QRO to supply its ANPR technology," said chairman Raschid Abdullah.
