(Sharecast News) - Sound Energy has announced the successful completion and demobilisation of the Star Valley Rig 101 on Tuesday, following planned workover operations on the gas wells TE-6 and TE-7 at the Tendrara project.

The AIM-traded firm said the work was in preparation for long-term gas production into the micro LNG plant currently under construction by Italfluid Geoenergy.

It said the operations were completed safely with no recordable incidents.

The company successfully removed the existing completion tubing in both TE-6 and TE-7 and installed new corrosion-resistant completion tubing in TE-6, which was now ready to supply gas for the commissioning of the micro LNG plant.

It said the plant's construction was expected to be completed later in the year.

The rig had been stacked at the TE-7 site without incurring ongoing costs, while Sound Energy awaited additional wellhead equipment to finish installing the new completion tubing in TE-7.

At 1034 BST, shares in Sound Energy were up 1.35% at 0.96p.
