(Sharecast News) - Fire safety business Zenova said on Tuesday that it has received a £83,000 order from AED, its newly appointed sub-distributor in Albania.

Zenova said the order consisted of 7,500 units of its FX500 extinguisher, as well as 100 units of its FX 9L and 50 units of FX 6L devices.

The AIM-listed group stated the preliminary order was currently being shipped to Tirana for customers who placed orders with AED following its demonstration day on 9 May.

Chief executive Tim Melchior said: " This order, coming on the back of the very effective demonstration day we held last month, reflects the efficiency and power of our products to tackle the growing problems around the world, as well as a further endorsement of our strategic focus. I anticipate a growing volume of sales in the region in partnership with AED, and look forward to announcing further orders in the near future."

As of 1030 BST, Zenova shares rallied 9.03% to 1.69p.
