(Sharecast News) - Caledonia Mining declared a quarterly dividend of 14 US cents per share on Monday, maintaining its regular shareholder distribution in line with its long-standing dividend policy.

The AIM-traded firm said the payment would be made on 18 April to shareholders on the register as of 4 April.

It said the ex-dividend dates would be 2 April on the VFEX, 3 April on AIM, and 4 April on the NYSE American.

UK-registered shareholders would receive the payment in sterling.

Caledonia adopted its quarterly dividend policy in 2014 as part of its strategy to maximise shareholder value.

The board said future distributions would continue to be assessed based on available investment opportunities and a prudent approach to risk management.

At 0949 GMT, shares in Caledonia Mining Corporation were down 2.26% at 865p.
