Collins, a Chartered Accountant, had more than two decades of experience in senior finance and capital markets roles.

His career included positions at EY, Morgan Stanley, Och-Ziff Capital - now Sculptor Capital - and Prudential.

"David's appointment to the board reflects our confidence in his capabilities and his contributions to the business in a short period," said chairman Jonathan Moulds.

"We look forward to leveraging his experience as we continue to execute on our strategy for growth and value creation."
