(Sharecast News) - Vianet Group has announced a significant strategic agreement with an unnamed "leading" global brewer on Wednesday, secured through its partnership with real-time market intelligence specialist the Oxford Partnership.

The AIM-traded company said the deal would involve implementing its Beverage Metrics draught beer monitoring solution across the UK.

It said the technology would deliver detailed performance insights for the brewer's key draught brands, enabling precise monitoring of brand activations.

The board said the agreement was expected to enhance the company's visibility within the hospitality sector, and position Vianet to attract additional clients and partnerships.

It said the phased rollout of the Beverage Metrics solution would start in the current financial quarter, and would continue over the next financial year, expanding Vianet's UK installation footprint by about 5% within 18 months.

"This new agreement represents a strong strategic validation of our investment in Beverage Metrics and the value of our partnership approach," said chair and chief executive officer James Dickson.

"These collaborations are unlocking exciting commercial opportunities within the hospitality sector and beyond, combining our technological capabilities and the Oxford Partnership's analytics and AI expertise."

Dickson said the phased rollout of the company's Beverage Metrics solution with a "leading global brewer" highlighted the innovation and impact of its technology.

"Combined with the encouraging progress we are making in the US and the recent long-term contract extensions with Heineken's Star Pubs & Bars and Greene King, this milestone underscores the growing recognition of our solutions and their ability to deliver tangible value by helping customers achieve more with less."

At 1324 GMT, shares in Vianet Group were up 3.95% at 111.75p.
