Avon Technologies receives further delivery order from US Army

(Sharecast News) - Defence products manufacturer Avon Technologies said on Monday that its Team Wendy Ceradyne unit had received another delivery order from the US Army.

Avon Technologies said the new order was worth $17.6m and was under its Next Generation Integrated Head Protection System helmet contract with the US Army, which was previously awarded in September 2021.

Chief executive Jos Sclater said: "This delivery order adds to our strong order book and demonstrates the continued good demand from the US DoD for our world leading head protection technology.

"We continue to focus on ramping up production in our Cleveland factory to support our DoD programs and to deliver the best possible service to our customers."

As of 1005 GMT, HSS shares were down 4.53% at 5.83p.
