(Sharecast News) - US President Donald Trump will unveil his reciprocal trade tariffs at an event scheduled for 1900 GMT in the Rose Garden on Wednesday.

The putative aim of the new trade levies is to promote manufacturing in the States, raise government revenues and finance an extension of his tax cuts.

Investors will be keen for details regarding the US administration's plans, as well as the response from the countries targeted with the new measures.

Earlier, at 1330 GMT, consultancy ADP will release its US private sector payrolls survey for March.

No major economic reports were are out in Asia, the euro area or UK.
