What do our employer clients think of HL Workplace?

At the start of 2025, we reached out to the employers we work with to get their feedback on our service. Let’s go through what they had to say.

100 of our employer clients responded to our survey. They told us what they value, what we do well and what we could do to improve. HL Workplace is a service for employers and consultants, not individual investors. The information on our website is not financial advice.

A huge 96% of respondents rated the service they received in the last year as "Excellent" or "Good". This is an increase from 94% in 2023.

Our clients told us the HL Workplace colleagues they dealt with were “helpful and knowledgeable” and they received “excellent support from [their] client relationship manager”. They also told us they valued the support we provide to their employees – especially the “excellent communications” that “support staff in better understanding their pensions and [their] options.”

The range of services we provide employers helps them offer modern and competitive workplace benefits to their employees.

From pensions and investments to financial wellbeing and savings solutions, we aim to support employees from the start of their working lives right through to retirement.

Any questions are always quickly and simply answered and the processes are straightforward

More than eight out of ten employers said the service they receive from us is “Better” or “Much better” than the service they received from their previous pension providers.

At HL Workplace, we know the service we offer is what our clients need. From the dedicated support and straightforward explanations to the award-winning communications we issue to pension members, we make workplace pensions accessible for all.

The survey told us the most valued aspect of our service is the open communication channels with our colleagues. HR, Payroll and Pension staff can get hold of their Client Relationship Manager or the administration team easily.

Other aspects highlighted in the results are the webinars and email communications employees receive. And many employers told us the 1-2-1 sessions offered by our Financial Wellbeing Specialists make HL Workplace stand out from any other pension provider.

Rachel, one of our Client Relationship Managers, said “Financial Wellbeing is an integral part of our service. Our team of Financial Wellbeing Specialists host webinars and 1-2-1 meetings with pension members to help build their knowledge and confidence, with the aim of encouraging members to make their own informed decisions for their savings and investments”.

Our clients are open and honest with us and told us what they felt we needed to improve. Some told us they found our administration processes difficult. Changing our administration processes is a huge project, but we’ve taken this feedback onboard and are working to upgrade and update our systems.

HL colleagues should be proud that this feedback is testimony to their expertise and commitment. Whilst these results are outstanding, we aren’t pausing our ambitions. We aspire to achieve new heights when it comes to employee engagement, empowerment, action - and of course, optimising financial outcomes.

We’ll conduct the survey again next year and will share what our employers think in 2026.
