How to change a SIPP beneficiary

If you have one or more SIPP beneficiaries set up, here's how to change their details or remove them altogether from your SIPP account.

Before you start

You will need your login details to hand. If you do not have online access to your SIPP, you can download and complete an 'Expression of Wish form'.

Log in online to see your accounts.
Select ‘Account Settings’ from the tab list.
Select ‘Manage SIPP beneficiaries’ from the list of options.
Any existing beneficiaries will be listed. If you wish to remove a beneficiary, or change the amount of your SIPP you allocate, select ‘Edit’.
Select ‘Delete’ to the right of any beneficiaries you want to remove. You will be asked to confirm your choice by selecting ‘Delete’ again.
To edit the percentage of the SIPP allocated to your chosen beneficiaries, enter new amounts so that the 'Total' adds up to 100.00%.
Select ‘Save’ to confirm.

Your changes will take effect straightaway. You can continue to add new beneficiaries, or edit your current ones, whenever you like.
