How to transfer from a Stocks and Shares ISA to a Fund and Share Account
Here’s how to transfer investments or cash from your Stocks and Shares ISA to your Fund and Share Account.
Before you start
- You’ll need to have a Fund and Share Account open before you start the transfer.
- You can transfer uninvested cash at the same time as transferring investments.
- Outside of an ISA, investments could be subject to income tax and capital gains tax. Tax rules can change, and benefits depend on your circumstances.
How to transfer on the website
- Log in online to see your accounts.
- Select ‘Transfer between HL accounts’.
- Select where you want to transfer from and to, then select ‘Continue’.
- Search for the investments you want to transfer and enter the number of units to transfer. If you have cash you’d like to transfer, enter the amount. Then select ‘Continue’.
- Read the ISA withdrawal warning. If you understand you will not be able to pay this money back into your ISA without using part of your ISA allowance, select ‘I confirm'.
- Review your transfer request and select ‘Submit transfer’.
What happens next
We’ll aim to complete your transfer in around 5 working days. We’ll contact you once it’s complete.
