African Pioneer Plc is an Isle of Man-based exploration and resource development company. The Company’s principal business is to explore opportunities within the natural resources sector in Sub-Saharan Africa, with a focus on base and precious metals, including copper, nickel, lead, and zinc. The Company’s projects and operations include the Kalahari Copper Belt, Limpopo Mobile Belt, Ongombo, Ongeama, Central African Copperbelt, and Zambezi Belt Copper & Gold. It has acquired a 100% interest in six prospecting licenses in the Kalahari Belt, which covers approximately 1,945.8 square kilometers (km2), as well as two in the Limpopo Mobile Belt, which covers over 854 km2. The Ongombo project covers approximately 202 km2 Matchless Copper Belt and is located approximately 20 kilometers (km) from the Otjihase mine. The Chumbwe license 27769 HQ-LEL covers approximately 436 km2 and is located 70 km southeast of the capital Lusaka.
