How to change your phone number
Updating your personal details is easiest online, and only takes a few minutes. Here’s how to change your phone number.

How to change your phone number on the website
- Log in online to see your accounts.
- Select ‘Account settings’ from the tab list.
- Select ‘Personal details and statement delivery’.
- If you have two-factor authentication set up, you’ll be asked to enter your Online Password and the verification code we’ll send to your mobile number.
- Select ‘Edit personal details’.
- Enter your new phone number.
- Select ‘Save’ to confirm your changes.
How to change your phone number on the app
If you are an Active Savings client or have two-factor authentication set up, it is not currently possible to change your phone number using the app. Please log in to the HL website if you need to update your details.
All other users can update their phone number as follows:
- Select ‘Accounts’ in the bottom left corner.
- Log in using your chosen verification method.
- On iPhone: Select the menu icon in the top left corner. Then select ‘Profile and settings’.
On Android: Select ‘Settings’. - Select 'Personal details’, then select ‘Edit’ next to 'Phone number'.
- Enter your new mobile number.
- Select ‘Save’ to confirm.
What happens next
We’ll send you an email to confirm you’ve updated your details.
It may take a few hours for the changes you’ve made to take effect.
